Hickam Community Housing Office and Maintenance Facility

Description of Project:

New construction of two (2) new metal framed buildings on a post-tensioned concrete slab-on-grade.  The building was designed and constructed to meet LEED Silver certification and was built within residential neighborhood.  Site work included the site grading, installation of utilities, landscaping and asphalt paving.

Ford Island Building 89 Conference Center

• Location:  Ford Island , Pearl Harbor, Hawaii
• Client:  Fluor Federal Services

Description of Project:  A renovated historic 1942 theater construction began with the demolition of the building’s exterior shell with only the building’s existing structural elements left in place.  All new cast-in-place concrete work was done to build back the exterior walls and new structural steel frame for the roof support structure.  The interior work consisted of a re-creation of the historic ticket booth and numerous other areas to create a state of the art conference center.

Capehart & Earhart Housing Office and Community Center

• Location:  Hickam AFB, Oahu, Hawaii
• Client:  Actus Lend Lease

Description of Project:  Construction of two new buildings, new office and community center, under the Hickam AFB’s privatized housing initiative. Work consisted of concrete slab-on-grade with metal framed walls and trusses with an exterior finish system.   The metal trusses were unique in that the trusses were required to span a length of 40 feet.
