DBS has done projects for the Department of Education and the University of Hawaii. On campus work requires a greater sensitivity to working in an educational setting and working within the schedules of the scholastic calendar.
Campus Center Renovation, University of Hawaii at Manoa

- Client: Office of Procurment and Real Property Management, University of Hawaii
Description of Project: Renovation of six restroom facilities consisting of complete demolition, new layout complying with ADA criteria, new ventilation system, decorative ceramic wall and floor tile, installation of new water closets and accessories.
Renovation of Bookstore entrance consisting of removal of existing concrete forum seating and construction of new structural elements, new concrete floor slabs, new lighting and mirrors in entry, new fire-rated storefront system, new guardrail systems on second floor to match existing stair railing,
UH Bio-Medical Building Renovations
- Location: University of Hawaii, Manoa, Hawaii
- Client: University of Hawaii Facilities Management Office
Description of Project: Renovation of existing structure’s exterior and replacement of metal roofing. Work consisted of hazardous abatement, exterior refurbishing/repair concrete wall, painting, fire proofing and glazing system.
Hickam Youth Center
- Location: Hickam AFB, Oahu, Hawaii
- Client: PACAF – 15th Contracting Squadron
Description of Project: Renovation of existing Youth Center included both exterior and interior work. Exterior work consisted of installation of new playground and playground equipment. Interior renovations incorporated selected demolition, new finishes and installation of new interior interactive play equipment. The entire project required that the installations be child-friendly.
